Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Yesterday is not ours to recover, but
tomorrow is ours to win or to lose.
Lyndon B. Johnson

went to the lake today, sat, and watched people while reading my book…. The book im reading is a murder mystery involving the most awful and grotesque type of people …. some of the things done are truly horrific … i know its just a book … but these things i am reading about actually happen … rape .. the sex trade… awful awful people …. it makes me so sad that people can be so evil….

and while reading this .. I sat besides Lac Leman (Geneva’s lake) … where lovers cuddled, fathers played with their sons, and people roller skated (yes roller skates.. i know) … Geneva is that picturesque in the spring time … everyone is happy and living such good lives and caring about universal humanitarian rights and policies…. it was a surreal experience ….people are good? people are bad?? i dont know … i was alone so i guess it doesn’t matter either way …. people are just people …. thank god the weather is nice out now …

I knoww …. it doesn’t make sense what i just said … but then again .. people don’t make sense… i’d rather think about the weather.

It is funny how you do not miss affection until it is given, but once it is, it can never be enough; you would drown in it if possible. Libba Bray (via thresca) (via quote-book)
